Popular Mission is Vincentian Congregation’s specific form of preaching the Word of God. Following the example of St.Vincent, the Vincentians give great stress on preaching Popular Missions and on teaching Catechism to the people adopting diverse methods suited to the times and places. Popular Missions aim at the renewal of individuals, families, parishes and the whole Church. Potta Ashram is also known as Popular Mission centre. Vincentian priests preached Popular Missions in different parts of India. People who attended those Missions began to ask for follow-up retreats. Then Fr.Mathew Naickomparmbil and Fr.George Panackal began daily retreats, residential programmes, counselling and healing ministry in Potta. To preach Good News through media Vincentian Congregation began to publish a Magazine called Vachanolsavam.
